About The Provider:
Emun Abdu, MD is a Board Certified neurosurgeon and neurointerventionalist, one of the few female neurosurgeons in the U.S. to provide patients with an option for traditional surgical or minimally invasive neuroendovascular treatment. This allows her to provide a comprehensive “one stop-shop” surgical management for patients with a variety of brain and spine conditions. Dr. Abdu received her medical degree from University of Michigan and completed neurosurgical residency training at Oregon Health & Sciences University. She then completed two additional years of fellowship training in cerebrovascular and endovascular surgery at Swedish Neuroscience Institute.
As a part of Abrazo Neuroscience Institute, Dr. Abdu works very closely with neurologists, oncologists, neuroradiologists and other clinical subspecialists to deliver comprehensive methods of treatment that are tailored to the needs of each of her patients. This multidisciplinary team approach allows for more successful outcomes and provides a sense of reassurance and continued communication among providers. Dr. Abdu empowers her patients by creating a unique level of trust and comfort with each patient. In addition, she welcomes and encourages collaboration with patients’ family members and loved ones to create a family centered environment. Dr. Abdu wants her patients to feel the concierge service that she strives to maintain, because each patient’s time and treatment plan is valuable and personal.
